So PETA made a Mario 3DS Spoof titled, Mario Kills Tanooki, to protesting Mario wearing the Tanooki Suit. They say it gives children the impression that wearing fur is ok… Yeah, it was so dumb I didn’t know what to say to that either. So let’s take a closer look at the evil that is Mario in fur.
First, Tanooki suits are named after tanukis, Japanese creatures who, according to mythology, can use leaves to shape-shift and cause chaos. That’s right PETA, mythology. It means make believe if that’s to long a word for you.
Secondly, Yes, Mario is wearing a full fur outfit, tail and all, squatting down like he’s about to take a dump. No toilet, just like animal in the wild. You’d think PETA would enjoy Mario going back to nature like that.
Third, He changes into the Tanooki suit after collecting an item called a Super Leaf. Just a leaf PETA. No killing and skinning of animals is anywhere in this game. Unlike your game which has a factious Tanooki chasing down Mario so he can get his fake fur back. Wait, is fake fur ok?
In conclusion, PETA you’re a bunch of morons who make up crazy shit based on your own lack of culture and intelligence. The only thing we have to fear our kids learning is that it’s ok to dress up in fur to have fun… Damn furries.
